Summer in Perth, why not visit Fremantle

Published on Sunday 15th December 2013

Summer has officially arrived. For those visiting Perth, our summers are quite warm and provide ample opportunities to visit our various attractions such as Kings Park, the beach and the many coastal towns we have. At Mountway, we are more than happy to recommend places to visit and always like to hear from our guests about their experiences, such as Janelle's visit to Perth.

Our Port town, Fremantle, is a melting pot of art, culture and food. This time during our visit to Fremantle, we tucked into a summer classic, fish and chips. Cicerellos in Fremantle (also located in Mandurah, another great coastal town) is located right on the fishing boat harbour. The menu offers a range of seafood delights which is perfect for summer such as the traditional fish and chips, fresh oysters, grilled fish, fresh pasta, crab and another Australian favourite, chilli mussels.

The buzzing atmosphere of the boat harbour makes Cicerellos perfect for a date for two, family outing, chilling with friends or you can even just hang out with the seagulls. Alternatively you could get your food ‘to-go’ and eat your meal in the nearby park, or on the groin. With Christmas holidays coming up, Fremantle makes a great day trip to enjoy good food, in a relaxed seaside town.
