Cricket in Perth for Summer 2014

Published on Thursday 16th January 2014

What a glorious summer of cricket. The recent 2013/2014 Ashes saw the return of the urn with a 5-0 victory against England!

Another event to look forward to is the One Day International (ODI) Series, Australia vs England. Compared to the slower-paced, wicket-conserving Ashes matches, the ODI games are more fast-paced and dynamic with players aiming to get as many runs as they can. This makes for a fun and exciting day at the cricket.

The ODI Series commenced on 12 January at the MCG in Melbourne, where Australia won by 6 wickets. The forth match, in Perth will take place on Friday 24 January 2014 at the WACA.

While most tickets have sold-out, there are still some tickets for the grassed area of the WACA starting from $24. For tickets and information, visit the Ticketmaster website.

For our guests at Mountway, the WACA is easily accessible by catching the Red Cat Bus from Milligan Street in West Perth which is only a 5 minute walk from Mountway. Previously we also created a city map highlighting the major attractions in Perth. This map may come in handy if you are looking for things to do before and after the cricket.

At Mountway, we wish all of the men and women playing on behalf of Australia the best of luck for the rest of the Cricket season. Go Australia!
