More Perth Festivals: Mandurah Crab Festival

Published on Wednesday 12th March 2014

In our previous post we mentioned that is currently an abundance of festivals in Perth. The famous Fringe World Festival and Perth Festival recently wrapped up at the beginning of March.

Only last weekend was the famous Araluen Fremantle Chilli festival, for those who like it hot.

An upcoming festival we are looking forward to is the Mandurah Crab Festival.

The Mandurah Crab Festival has something for everyone with live entertainment including live demonstrations by celebrity chefs, market stalls selling food and art, rides for the kids and fireworks. Of course the main attraction is the crab, the local Blue (Manna) Swimmer crab which is absolutely delicious. Visitors can enjoy some fresh crab at the festival’s Crab Zone.

Entry to the festival is FREE, however we recommend bringing some coin, as the variety of food will be sure to tempt your tastebuds.

While Mandurah is approximately 72 km from Perth, it is very accessible from Mountway Holiday Apartments. You simply jump on the train at the Esplanade Train station and in 50 minutes you will be in Mandurah. There will be regular buses going to and from the Mandurah train station and festival.

For more information on the location of the Esplanade train station from Mountway, please refer to our City Map.

If you have been to any of the Perth Festivals recently or are planning to go to upcoming ones, do let us know. We would love to hear about your experiences!
